Welcome to the Joyeuse Escale festival in Ardèche! Organised by the web radio station Allô la Planète*, this festive and friendly cultural event is Ardèche’s leading travel and adventure festival.
For its 5th edition, from 12 to 17 May 2026, between Cévennes and Vivarais in the commune of Joyeuse, the festival celebrates all the possibilities of travel and the exploration of diverse horizons.
An invitation to travel
Come and dream and travel for five days, discovering new cultures, destinations and adventures through 23 films, 37 screenings, around 20 authors and travel writers, seven photo exhibitions, five concerts, conferences, photography exhibitions, workshops, round tables and meetings with passionate travellers. A complete immersion in the world of travel, an opportunity to find inspiration for future adventures, in a festive atmosphere with shows and concerts.

Portraits of the world, schools at the end of the world, bivouacs around the world, cycling and travelling by a thousand roads, as well as around thirty film screenings followed by meetings with the film crews and directors.

Chat with passionate travellers and forge links with other explorers at this unmissable event for travel enthusiasts. Enjoy exclusive encounters and discussions with authors, travel writers and filmmakers, as well as book signings.

Where is Joyeuse in Ardèche?
Joyeuse is nestled in southern Ardèche in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region between the Tanargue massif and the Ardèche gorges, about 20 kilometres south of Aubenas.
Visiting Joyeuse is also an opportunity to take the time to stroll through the pretty streets and squares of the village, admire the medieval town and its castle, walk nearby on one of the many hiking trails or stroll along the department’s greenways.
